MASSAGE
Remedial:
Focuses on reducing muscle pain and dysfunction in a specific body region by increasing blood flow to assist in eliminating toxins that accumulate within the muscles - causing pain and discomfort.
The tenderness areas that are being treated, indicate which muscles and tendons are injured. Whilst using patient's feedback to help pinpoint the damaged tissue, helps to regulate pressure for greater results.
Sports:
Is broken down into 3 areas and focuses on muscles relevent to the event.
Pre event: Prior to an athletic event, Sports Massage may be used with stretching in order to help athletes to loosen, warm and prepare their muscles so that their performance and endurance might be enhanced.
Inter event: Keeping the muscles warm and relaxed during and event, where there may be breaks in play.
Post event: Following an athletic event, Sports Massage may be used to relieve pain, prevent stiffness, and return the muscles back to their normal state.
Deep Tissue:
Deep Tissue Massage involves the use of applying deep pressure to stressed or knotted muscles, by using trigger points along with postural assessments and stretching techniques to help bring about a more profound state of wellbeing.
The emphasis for each deep tissue session is to alter muscle tightness and restriction in order to decrease tension.
